Our candidate has been with G2V for 12 weeks. He is soon to finish his G2V Academy Programme and is well on the way to becoming a consultant. Now he's been trained in the basic principles of the job, he feels confident about beginning to learn his marketplace. He can make sales calls to senior clients and candidates and is beginning to find new vacancies to fill on a daily basis.

Having hit his very first G2V lunch target, he has attended a meal with the Directors at Heston Blumenthal's restaurant, Dinner. The first few weeks have been challenging, but the hard work's now really paying off!

Our candidate has worked for G2V for 26 weeks. He's made regular placements over the past few months and is now getting some great monetary rewards. Training and support will still be required from his managers for some time, but he now feels in control of organising his day-to-day duties. He's attending his first client meeting next week and has managed to place with 8 different businesses within his market.

Last week he returned from the 5* G2V holiday incentive to Ibiza, having hit target last month. Will he be on the plane for the next trip to Monte Carlo? Now he's proven that he's learned the ropes, he and his manager have met to discuss the next steps on the G2V Career Development Programme.

Having developed into a consistent salesperson and role model, our candidate is now a Senior Consultant. He's worked hard for G2V for 18 months and comfortably earns six figures pro-rata. Acting as a mentor and delivering some basic training to two new recruits is now part of his role, adding variety to his duties. Through his promotion, he has now also qualified for shares in G2V via our EMI scheme- as the company grows, so will the value of his allocation!

Outside of working hours he organises monthly staff nights out as well as his office's 7-a side squad. The next challenge is to develop his leadership skills...

Our candidate has now worked for G2V for three and a half years. He's not only become the top salesperson at G2V, but has also consistently recruited, trained and developed some superb staff of his own. He runs his own office in the USA and has fifteen staff reporting into him. He must keep a close eye on the operation of his side of the business and is expected to provide input to the Directors on company strategy.

Our Culture.

A typical day for our staff will involve: complex fee negotiations, client introductions, arrangement of meetings and candidate sourcing. You will need to enjoy phone-based sales and networking to succeed and must be excited by the thought of persuading companies to use our services. Typically the hours in recruitment are long. You will start your day at 8.00 or 8.30 in the morning, and may feel the need to work on vacancies until 6.30 or 7.00 at night to meet your client's demands.

Outside of working hours we have a brilliant social scene organised by a social secretary for each location. From monthly company nights out and days at the races through to weekly 7-a-side football matches, we invest heavily in our staff's enjoyment of their time at G2V.

The G2V Academy

We're often asked how the G2V companies have grown so quickly. The answer? Our training!

Unlike our competitors, we don't poach staff from rivals to fill our senior roles. Rather, we develop all our managers organically, promoting them through the ranks. In doing this, we keep standards high and ensure that there is no 'glass ceiling' to your opportunities.

G2V's initial training programme lasts for 13 weeks. During this period we take you through acquiring the skills and confidence needed to become an excellent recruiter. Your time will be divided, week by week into classroom-based training sessions, practical tasks and research projects. These are delivered by industry experts (many are 500k+ billers) rather than inexperienced middle managers.

We feel strongly that a recruiter should never stop learning however. All G2V staff benefit from continuous support, be it 6 month management development accreditations or 20 minute 'espresso' training sessions. These are open attendance and run during lunch periods to act as a refresher on the basic principles.
